IAT 410: Personal Progress Week 1
For the first week of IAT 410, my duty as the visual artist was to conceptualize and sketch out how the environment of the game would look like and the atmosphere we were planning on portraying for our game. As a group we talked about what different type of games we were striving for but as the artist, I had to consider the time constrains that we had without drifting off from the initial vision. I began thinking what shapes are easy to model within our timeframe and made them into pillars, arches and stairs to make it look complex yet simple . Once the ideas were set, I used Adobe Photoshop and drew out what I envisioned. Other than drawing out the environment art, my other duties include helping the group document the ideas and concept about the game by writing it down in google doc and creating a google folder for our group to remain organized throughout the semester. My agenda for next week is to refine some of the drawings that were conceptualized this week such as the character and environment drawings and also come up with more ideas that could potentially be used in the game.
