IAT 410: Personal Progress Week 2
For this week, my main focus was to make some progress with some sketches for the game to help visualize and easier for other people to grasp the overall game mechanics and making a new design for the main character of the game. So for the game mechanics sketches right now, I drew out some of the movement and attacking mechanics that can be performed in the game, drawing what the players can do and also what the animation movement look like.
Some big changes I made from this week compared to last week is to make an effort to change the character design. Last week I did not feel that the character we created suited the overall story that we were trying to convey. So for my new design, I thought about Once the designs were set and approved by other group members, other team members could begin creating the 3d model for the game.
Other responsibilities that I took on this week was to begin writing part of the script for each level, identifying what the character's dialogues are. So far I have only completed and defined what the first level dialogue will be for the character, which can be located in this google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f9LhOTdTNb95QsQ5FLgZrsLZLXZ8LqKm8ON2oo_L6-Q/edit
For next week I plan to convert all my existing sketches from the past week into digital drawings to make the images more presentable and hopefully into the game itself. The other task I will try to complete as well is finishing up the script and dialogue for the game, or complete at least majority of it.
